My favorite thing about the idea of “shy trump voters is simple”.
There have allegedly been a study or two on this where people were too afraid to share with an anonymous pollster they were going to vote Trump BUT they would openly share with an anonymous researcher they want to vote for Trump AND they were afraid to admit it.

If shy Trump voters were a thing, Trump would poll behind other GOP candidates like Ernst and Graham. The opposite is true. The theory is nonsense with zero empirical support.

I get that, but he’s sure as shit still claiming victory while a lot of dem guarantee states (like for example, even NY possibly) appear redshifted. It’s not just the Midwest that’s going to be redshifted on election night.
