A guy who I know very well who used to work for me (started when he was 17) has family that came from Mexico a few generations ago. He doesn’t speak any Spanish and grew up in a part of LA that has lots of people with similar background. He has often been quite reflexively and unthinkingly anti-new-Hispanic immigrant. That’s not unique to him. I have talked to him about it every time it’s come up and like to think that I’ve been at least somewhat influential in getting him to think about and back away from this.
Yep, why “demographics will save us” in the long run is a hoax. ALL HUMANS SUCK.
My cousins are co-hosting a fundraiser for Biden in PA for I think the PA Victory fund. If anyone was interested in donating, all donations through their event are being matched.
Know a Syrian refugee that relocated to Alabama. Super friendly guy… was casually dropping the N word within a year…
As I have been saying for many years, many votes that posters here ascribe to racism, are instead mainly due to selfishness. It was previously hard to prove my point. But Hispanics for Trump and non racist young people resisting masks is making it easier.
Legit amazed Dems are calling for marijuana legalization. Maybe they actually want to win this?
ha this meme with the poll results makes me chuckle everytime
That and depending on where they came from, they may have strong sentiments against socialism, and also chauvinism is rampant throughout Latin American countries. What’s the gender breakdown on that poll? I’d guess it skews heavily toward male Hispanics representing the bulk of that support since Trump plays into the shitty machismo.
Here’s a recent article from a conservative website on the Hispanic “problem”. It more or less hits on many of the points we have been talking about.
“The Federalist”? Is that a reasonable source for conservative views?
Omg the twitter replies. Why did I look at the Twitter replies??
Reasonable? Of course not, but its a view into the minds of the nut jobs
538 pod had a discussion about the Latino vote. Cliffs is that there are big demographic split and most traditional polling isn’t robust enough to know if we’re getting representative samples.

Yeah I do not endorse the Federalist. @Riverman’s post piqued my interest so I am literally Googling “why trump Hispanic report” to see what I can learn.
Never underestimate voter stupidity either.
Edit: OMG I fell for a Sklansky gimmick.
Are we sure it’s a gimmick? That’s an A+ job if yes.
Wait, you’re saying Sklansky is actually posting here?
