There’s no way to think that HRC was a better candidate than Joe Biden that I can find. Joe Biden cruising to victory at 50,000 feet with his feet up is just evidence against her.
It’s a hypothetical. I’m curious how people feel about the relative quality of the candidates between the two elections.

I was trying to ask a different question, than the one that you read it as. My bad on that.
I agree that Biden is a stronger candidate and running a better campaign relative to Clinton.
Biden’s a better candidate, but in a vacuum I’d probably prefer to have HRC as president. Problem is she’d never get to govern in a world that wasn’t already steeply pitched to hate everything she tried to do.
2016 Trump was extremely likely to be a horrible POTUS. But there was chance he wouldn’t completely shit his pants.
2020 Trump is a known horrible POTUS, with crap coming out of his depends.
Which is why in aggregate I feel like the 2020 slate is a worse option vs 2016.
Plus agree with Mimosa that HRC would be better POTUS than Biden in a vacuum. Despite me not aligning with either of their platforms fully.
In a way we are incredibly lucky Trump won in 2016. He’d be beating Hillary by 20 points right now.
If HRC won we would have a 6 person Supreme Court atm, well maybe 7 because Kennedy wouldn’t have retired
She was very for the 2009 Afghan troop surge and Joe Biden was very against. On the basis of this one data point I disagree. Honestly I don’t think HRC’s time as the SoS is going to age very well. I say this because knowing what we know about her decision making during the 2016 campaign and the first healthcare reform fight the odds are very low that she was ever effective at anything but looking good.
During Bill’s presidency it was commonly perceived that his wife was the brains in the relationship. I’m now almost entirely certain that it was the reverse. I’m not saying she isn’t smart, I’m saying her logical reasoning skills aren’t good enough to beat mid stakes poker in 2005. Yes I know how low a bar that is. I’m sure her memory is great and she’s fabulous at showing off that knowledge. It’s the application where it all falls apart.

I think Trump is so much worse in 2020 than 2016 and it’s so much more obvious, and HRC was arguably a better “political choice” than Biden in terms of quality of job she’d do in office. Biden >>>>> Hillary as a campaigner.
I think HRC was very overvalued in 2016 obviously, but yes I agree that was the logic at the time.
