He said there are enough beds for COVID and non-COVID patients, and they’re ready to double that number if needed.
They said they are licensed for 145 beds, and while volumes are higher than average right now, they are able to manage changes in volumes and surges in patients.
The article I found didn’t worry me as much as jman’s post but their cases are exploding so their plan to double capacity as needed might not work out so well.

james is a total tool, no law degree, he just tows the republican line, whatever they tell him. when they told him obamacare needed to be repealed asap, he went out there saying that. when they told him to lie and say he’ll protect preexisting conditions while supporting no legislation to do that and actively supporting repealing the legislation that does that, he goes out there and says it. it’s sarah palin all over again with dumb republican strategists trying to pander to black people by having a black guy read their script
that being said, i was surprised by how much he got blown out by debbie stabbenow in '18 and even more surprised that they put him up to run statewide again, this time without the sexism advantage. and sort of counterprogramming trump’s racist national campaign, i guess. he never mentions trump in any of his ads, and rarely does an ad mention the word republican, but he’s saying all the republican stuff all the time
so this poll has me shook, idk. i hope it’s an outlier because peters should crush james by 10 points. my neighbor with all the right wing signs has a john james sign and it looks like someone stomped on it or rubbed dirt on it. and i doubt it was a radical leftist because there’s a pristine trump sign right next to it. like i’m not understanding what happened there, but my overall impression is that there isn’t some groundswell of support for john james

I just confirmed with my friend at cook political, She confirmed that one poll is not going to move the needle by itself. I don’t think she’s Planning based on this to move Michigan to tossup, let’s put it that way.
That MI poll has an absurd amount of undecided voters for 3 weeks out. Feels like an outlier even if it is a highly rated pollster.
