POTUS BOWL 2020: A MEME IS A WISH YOUR <3 MAKES

If people are looking to take to the streets of DC I’m down to host a UP Meetup-and-Protest at my place just outside the city.

Its going to take infinity time to count ballots when the GOP sends sympathizers with guns to the actual places where the counting happens. Also they are literally going to challenge every single ballot in signature match states, hoping to effectively shut down the count while they run to court to be declared victorious.

Personally I think something like the Arab Spring is possible here if the rigging is blatant enough. I would guess at least half the Biden voters would be in the streets so we are talking 30-40m people. That is a ton. The flipside is Trump will have nothing to stop him from just using the military or more likely ICE to mow down protesters if he “wins” and has already built a multiple square mile perimeter/compound around the White House.

Trump wins outright.
Trump steals the election, and no one does anything.
Trump steals the election, people try to do something and have their efforts quelled by armed forces who have impunity for doing w/e the fuck that want.

I just cant fathom anything outside of these scenarios occurring. Trumps done whatever he wants with full impunity his entire term and no ones stopped him, why the fuck does anyone think theyll stop him now.

I don’t think theres any scenario that doesn’t involve insurgency or essentially civil war in which trump/gop is ousted from power going forward.

I’m genuinelly not sure how effective protesting will be. Like if 40% of the country is on Trump’s side, along with all the Senate Rs and people who matter, they’ll just wait it out.

I think knowledge workers should just stop working if Trump steals the election. That would have a massive impact on the economy and suddenly all the mega rich elites will no longer be able to tolerate Trump.

It’s like whoever said the government shutdown ended the second rich people felt any inconvenience. The same is ultimately true with Trump IMO

Looking forward to this shift in strategy.

nice variation, weird results

Yeah, I don’t think there’s a world where Biden’s margins in TX and AZ finish within one point of each other, but I do think that AZ is looking a little too close for comfort.

Hard to quantify protests, but I’d put money that the protests will be a lot smaller and a lot more fleeting then the Floyd protests this summer.

That Fox poll has to be some kind of weird outlier, but the score would be 352-186 if those polling numbers were to hold up, and that’s assuming TX doesn’t flip.

They were discarded due to no secrecy envelope? Amazing!

maybe we should be talking less about SCOTUS and more about…norms?

Way to go, National Media, covering this as if there was ever a fucking chance it was a legit story. What’s going to be even more frustrating is Republicans will claim ignorance and ignore the fact that they pushed for these laws and will still successfully blame Democrats and claim voter fraud. Washington Post: “Republicans and Democrats disagree over who is to blame for discarded ballots”
