That thing in the water on the left is dlk9s Jr.
Visited Big Talbot Island this weekend. It’s a little island tucked along the coast of Florida a little ways north of Jacksonville. The entire island is a preserve, but it’s most notable for its beach, which is covered in dead trees that are very photogenic. Also a bonus pics of lady friend and dog friend that came with me.
My wife wanted to go to some Ru Paul drag show for our anniversary. 13 years and I still love her more than ever.
Yeah, Ru just gets better with age.
I used to spend a lot of time just walking around out there. Very enjoyably peaceful on a nice night.
Not from where I am, these are from a friend of mine who has just taken advantage of the travel bubble to go to New Zealand. OK, cheating a bit, but on the other hand, international travel is back baby.
From the flight, the Southern Alps:

Lake Shasta. Northern California. Man made lake/reservoir created after the construction of the Shasta Dam in 1940. As you can see from the exposed rock/clay, the water levels are 40 feet below where they should be, and the heat of the summer hasn’t full kicked in yet. I heard conditions are similar in Lake Mead (Hoover Dam, near Las Vegas). Could end up being the worst drought in decades.
Yep, some info about this came out today:

“Lowest level since the 1930s” is kind of underplaying the severity. Lake Mead didn’t exist before the 1930’s.
It’s like saying Trump was the worst president since 1788.
Just broke out my plasma cutter for the first time in about 5 years. I had forgotten how much fun they are. That’s 1/8" steel, 20 seconds total cutting time.
This concludes today’s episode of Garage Moments With Zikzak.
Looks like you were inspired by jwax’s kitchen trims?
Incredible.
Wow. I wish I could give these photos a hundred hearts. What an amazing view!
