Holy crap, I want to go here.
Very nice, but Iâm a bit surprised by the reactions. Isnât an infinity pool a bit bourgeois?
Doesnât mean itâs not beautiful.
Another few million years and youâll have a Grand Canyon
Hope you donât end up in the wood chipper.
where is that? my wild ass guess, north ontario?
YupâŚnorthish Ontario, anyway. South shore of Golden Lake, itâs a couple hours west of Ottawa and about an hour from Algonquin Park.
Where does ânorth Ontarioâ start?
The place youâre at is further south than like 95% of the rest of Ontario, but the population distribution is so uneven.
Iâve always considered anything north of the neck of Lake Superior (or the northern edge of Algonquin) to be northern Ontario. A lot of people say it starts at Lake Nipissing or North Bay. Either way, weâre still a good hour or two south of that.
A century or so more of climate change and you too will consist of mostly desert.
Worldâs second largest canyon! I donât know in what sense they mean largest. Definitely not deepest.
As you may be able to tell from the similar look of it, thatâs from the same general area my pics are from (the Blue Mountains)
Copper Canyon in Mexico is also billed as the worldâs second largest canyon. I feel like Iâve been to a few others that billed themselves the same.
Not intended as a dig. Impressive canyons.
No human will live to see another grand canyon.
Aliens?
it was gorgeous today
On course on the rogaine I was in up in the Blue Mountains. Iâm safely back in Adelaide now ahead of any possible COVID restrictions due to the outbreak in Sydney.
You guys in the USA who are into outdoor stuff should give it a go imo. There are events there. Thereâs one in Pennsylvania next weekend.
