I was at Yosemite last fall and thought it was just okay.
I really think living in Western Washington has spoiled me for the outdoors.
It’s nice and has some unique features but yeah it’s somewhat overrated imo. Given the chance I’d rather go back to Glacier or Olympic.

I can understand that POV, you’re basically living in a rain forest. For me, coming from SD which is essentially a desert, then driving 7 hours thru LA and the central valley, when I finally at an area with pine forests it’s like paradise. I’ve never been to Washington. Looking forward to it.

Yeah a bird of prey for sure.
We have hawks where I live. You mostly see them circling overhead but one settled down on a tree in my back yard and it was terrifying. Those things are huge.
Yosemite is great but overrun. Take the drive over the mountains to at least Tioga lake. Pure heaven.
I’ll definitely hit PNW people up when we finally make the trek up there. It’s on the list of places to visit, but I have a lot of family visits to the midwest that I have to take care of first now that I’m vaccinated.
