Yeah, Cuomo was really bad on this today. In addition to turning a blind eye to the well documented police brutality that has occurred in NYC over the past few days, he is explicitly encouraging DAs in NYC to charge looters with 2nd degree burglary. He’s doing this because recent reforms to bail laws in New York eliminate cash bail for the misdemeanor charges that are typically applied to looting.
