The act of risking one’s life is not inherently good. People risk their lives to do terrible things all the time. People often risk their lives when they don’t have to. I don’t know how anybody can disagree with me on that.
Someone pointed out that in a lot red states, even if cities wanted to change they can’t because a lot of Republican state legislatures have removed local control for enacting police reforms and then Republican state legislatures gerrymandered themselves into minority rule.
Not even deeply concerned.

Looks like DC is mostly over for tonight. Cops kept breaking them into smaller and smaller groups and firing tear gas here and there and harassing them with the chopper until the group was basically dispersed.

Uhhhh they were an extremely commercial Christian rock/rap combination band. They rose to fame in the 80s and 90s and arguably were the most successful Christian rock band in history (don’t ask me to cite).
And a great version of Lean on Me.
They showed their versatility beyond r&b and rap-driven songs on their first song to hit wide mainstream success: “Jesus Freak”
Listen to that guitar riff!!! Sick.
They continued this trend of more radio-friendly rock with rap elements until the band broke up at the peak of success. Each of the band members found huge success as solo acts, most notably TobyMac, who is still so popular that my teenage daughter went to his concert.

I don’t equate an instance where someone risks their life to save another’s with the daily dangers of everyday life. And yes, lots of people who arent cops do that also.
I don’t accept the characterization that I’m “neutral in situations of injustice.”
I also don’t agree with playing the right’s game if it means making blanket statements about groups of people that I know are false.
