1.2 markup in a 3500?

Has to be way overvalued, right?

She’s also an internet content creator, so the markup is sometimes sort of like her fans donating to her Patreon of she had one.

Markup mocking is the weirdest obsession of the poker world by far.

This may sound like a stupid question, but what stops a player from overselling themselves, a la The Producers?

I mesn, its scamming casuals/recs

I am not going to get into a thing over this but I sincerely don’t understand this argument at all. It’s an open marketplace with perfect information. Nobody is being scammed. It’s like saying someone buying a $5,000 purse is being scammed. People place bets in a casino a million times a day far worse than these markups.

Remember when Hellmuth was charging 1.8 for a 10k super turbo bounty?

Where’s the database with perfect information about a player’s ROI, non-streamed cash game results, and online play?

No one has perfect information. If you open up hendon mob you dont see ROI, number of bullets etc.
The vast majority of recs/non poker players buying pieces have no ability to process the information either.

Its not worth a ton of energy if someone is selling at 1.10 when they shouldnt charge markup, but I doubt if Hellmuth sold at 200% youd be like “thats fine.”

I’m talking about the sale price obviously.

Speaking of, i think Hellmuth didnt play any of the high rollers. at least he has some self awareness even if he doesnt show it

Nothing. I think it has been done.

It’s probably harder if you’re using a public website to manage the transactions.

But if you’re just making casual verbal deals with people you know and meet, it is very easy to do that. Especially if you keep the tranches small.

Helmuth should sell for 0.8 but if he did for 3.5 I genuinely couldn’t care less.
