Poker News and Live Streams - HU4LOLLZ

Yup. Then she donked off another 25k. Ben literally rages at Ron for showing him his card before he folds… like literally starts screaming at him and knocking chips over. Then Bunny comes back and asks “if like anyone can do crypto” only to vanquish off into the night. It was awesome entertainment. (My order of events may have been off)

I watched the beginning of the stream and turned it off because PB was talking and it was irritating the shit out of me. I might have flipped out like Ben if she had been 3-betting me all night. Definitely need to watch the rest of it now.

Ben acted like an idiot. After he won.

Will be a hoot seeing how committed Cesars is to the “good gamble” theme. At least the “reimagined casino floor” promises new carpet!

Hellmuth beats Dwan. Variance is a hell of a drug! Must be nice living your whole life in the 6th standard deviation of luck.

Three different watch-worthy streams tonight:

  1. Hustler Live: Garrett returns from a long absence to play in the 50/100+100BB ante game
  2. LATB: Million Dollar Game with Johnny Chan and Viffer
  3. Lodge: “Andrew Neeme’s PLO Party”

Let’s do it. I heard the same thing from the poker guy room manager, Chris. They are planning on running a WSOPC event every year. They are also planning on a “Battle of Indiana” with the Hammond and Southern Indiana.

They are hosting a kick off $500 buy in tournament in February and the casino is adding $50k on top of whatever the guarantee is going t be. Should be a great tournament.

Anyone still trying to get $$ onto Ignition?

Literally shocks me to watch these with absolutely no one in masks. It’s like these people live on a different planet.

I doubt that sort of thing happened back in the good old days when the Yakuza were running games.

This seems like a lot. Anyone here live nearby?

Yes, until this month their poker room had been closed since the start of covid.

Now that it’s open, the poker room hours are something like 8am-5pm M-F. No nights, no weekends.

I think they’re holding out for sports betting to become legal in MA, so they can convert the space into a sports book. That’s what I heard in table chatter when I played there pre-pandemic; there’s also a massive tournament room next to the cash room that has been collecting dust since they opened the doors. (Have not held a tournament or series since opening)…

I’d guess there’s also a dealer/labor shortage that’s contributing to this situation. The poker room was always full pre-pandemic and I’d expect it to be that way now if they operated it with any ambition.

Not having the poker room be a revenue and foot traffic driver for the property seems foolish to me. But wtf do I know.

Yeah, we waited many years for the casino bill, then years for the licensing and siting fights, then years for the Wynn to be built (the name was changed after Steve Wynn got kicked out). I was there for the opening day fireworks display, 70+ tables, free premium drinks.

Then they removed the premium drinks, serving only Heineken and Bud Light. They had started out charging for parking, but with poker players comped, then moved to free parking, and it became a problem on tournament days (they did have tournaments, just not a major one or series).

Then they closed the casino in March of 2020, and reopened without poker. After lots of complaining from poker players to the gaming authority, they finally agreed to reopen the room, but with a ridiculous timeline (3 months lol), hours (10a-8p M-Th lol), and now rake (10% up to $10 lol).

I still might go to check it out, but will look for news and reviews first. 1/3 would be unbeatable at that rake, unless you hit a BBJ. 2/5 might be barely beatable. Not really enthused to play 5/10 with other people who are able to play poker at those hours.

Edit: All 12 tables are currently full, with 8 1/3 games and 20 on the list for 1/3.

High for casinos, but low for home games. I’ve been enjoying the rake free games in TX with the hourly.

I don’t understand how these places make money with no rake, no booze and no table games or slots.

$10 day membership fee or $30 month / $300 a year. $13 an hour chair rental. They run 24/7 and are packed.
