I’m not sure about the 55k bet but I think the 225k raise size is pretty bad. Need to stack 6x. Don’t want to give 6x an opportunity to just call that raise which probably doesn’t want to go bust nearing the bubble.

Obviously super gross to run into the higher quads.

I think a shove might fold out 6x. It’s just such a big bet in a multiway pot where you’re either chopping or losing to 44 or 65 if you have 6x.

I guess it 6x might find a fold but I still think in a tourney you have to go for the max in a spot like this.

I wonder if quad 4s should just be betting the turn to build a pot vs 6x. Then you can make a jam on the river that’s not so huge.

I’d pretty quickly fold 6x to a shove in this spot and completely forget about the hand. This is a 10k, not your local casino.

People ain’t bluffing 80BB 200 spots from the money or w/e this was on a board everyone checks quads, where he raises the guy who led into everyone on said board, with 3 people behind.

Also I think betting before river is a mistake, it’s really hard for anyone to have a 6 here and they’d more likely bet if anything themselves. Betting also denies the someone might take a stab equity.

lmfao that Pat Lyons blind hand played out in about the funniest way it possibly could have

One of the problems is that 44 is in the BB, so leading out on the flop or turn is pretty strong, considering he’s the player most likely to have 4x or 6x. That’s not the position for taking a stab at it.

Against 6x, you should feel like you can often build a big pot anyways, so you should be trying to maximize your winnings against other holdings. That’s probably checking the turn and hoping someone catches something on the river.

They’re fine to me. It’s pretty hard to fill up 8 hours of banter in real time. Not sure how much better anyone else could be.

I have noticed Shulman has toned way down on his deeper hand analysis. I only heard blockers a few times. I think they’re making a conscious effort not to rip the amateurs for doing stupid shit - which is a bummer because I liked that part. But as I know from my home game - amateurs do not :open_mouth:

Liu is a google bro not any kind of pro. Doubt he’s thought through quad over FH bet sizing much in his life.

We made this 6 person 5 players per team last longer draft. One of my friends last pick was “the dude who will sit behind me on day 1 of the main”. He indeed took a photo and got the name of the player.

Dude still in

My last horse busted in like 1010th.

Quick question on horses, since you mentioned it. How do taxes typically work when people buy pieces? I’ve never bought or sold a piece of a tournament so have no clue.

I think raise is too thin OTR by jungle

We don’t pay taxes on gambling in Canada unless it’s your only source of income so not sure.

We don’t pay any taxes on any gambling at all in the UK.

Moneymaker going to be at the feature table again today.

Moneymaker making a deep run would be the best possible story. I think I’ve also found the worst, which means it’ll definitely be the one this universe will give us:
