Two huge live events started at the same time. The Wynn WPT Championship which ends with a pretty ridiculous 40m guaranteed 10k Main Event. First event was a $600 1M Gntd that got 5000 entries.
WSOP Bahamas or whatever they calling it also started yesterday. It’s a joint effort with GGPoker so I guess they are counting on online qualifires to fill the guarantees. No way enough Americans are flying over.
How does poker news know he wanted a call? Maybe he bluffed the other guy off the best hand.

Live tournament scene is impressive these days. Three $1000 tournies running at the same time this week.
The mini main event in the WSOP Bahamas got 2300 runners
Eureka main event in Prague got 4400 runners.
WPT Prime in Wynn will beat both with 2200 runners in 2 flights with 2 more to go.
Quite the numbers for December poker.

10k has been deflated a bit compared to 2006 and even one could argue pre covid.
Its good to see but also in a way bad in that so many recs have decided MTTs is the only way to go instead of cash.
I probably trashed my whole live bankroll in Prague. Doesnt matter. There arent many good tournements near by anyway and having travel costs higher than the buyin doesnt make much sense. Germany just sucks at organizing live events. Better to end it now than continue dreaming of some success that will never come.
Anyway 10-12 years ago there was actually dinner or some vouchers included now you have to pay it yourself but the buyin now reads 480+20(staff charge)+50(house fee).
Was also pretty chaotic in Prague. Today they started day two of the eureka main and the eureka cup at the time which resulted in long queues at the entrance and waiting lists as well. Would have made more sense to start the day 2 am hour earlier.

Tldr government shut down series abruptly halfway through series.
What structure do they use? Of the 6 eureka main flights in prague only 2 had 40 minute blind levels, 3 with 30 min and 1 with 20 min. So they turned into shove fests quickly. Only st the beginning of day 2 they used 60 minutes. When you also have players who think about every decision you will be lucky u finish 1-2 orbits per level.
