I don’t think he had a lot of capital to initially put into the partnership. Polk just wanted his youtube brand.
People do dumb things, especially gamblers, so who knows for sure but he seems smart enough to properly bankroll manage from the little I know about him.

Is Persson that rich that he can keep punting like this? Seems like he’s down at least a few million over the last month.
Despite him dressing worse than CaffeineNeeded attending a baby meetup at the library, Persson owns 25+ casinos and cardrooms in a couple states (mostly PNW). The ones that I’ve seen are smaller places and not your typical casino, but I assume having that many it starts to snowball quickly.
I found an interview with some number figures dated 2019:
