Just watched the Antonius Perrson hand. That’s an amazing punt of a milly dollars. What the hell does he think he is getting Antonius to fold there?

More than you would think. Namely KK-JJ which is a solid 18 combos (15 exc Qh)

What do you think his (Antonius) range to 3b from blinds, B/3B flop range is on 833hh???

The flop play is worse than the turn and it’s not close from Persson

Agree.

Do you think Antonious folds AQo (or even AKo)?

Probably not as Persson’s line really makes no sense. I guess he thinks he’s repping a 3, but does he really play a 3 like that? Definitely not A3 which would be his most likely 3. I guess maybe 34s could be in his range.

Patrik has zero AKo and AQo combos that cib on the flop.

He’s also at least as of a few years ago, noticably tighter and weaker than the FT free money heydeys.

The turn play makes sense. The flop raise is just stupid, fucking the SPR up pretty badly.

That’s a good point - the flop play really narrows his range.

I guess then my question is what is Antonios bet/folding on the turn? Would he be leading KK/QQ here? I still don’t see why the turn play makes sense. Persson’s line doesn’t really make sense for a monster and what is he trying to push Antionios off?

Quarter pot blocker seems pretty reasonable with TT-KK. What else is he supposed to do.

Calling off a half milly more is a daunting proposition on an Ax. Persson could totally have Axhh, let alone a 3.

The pull of being that deep and that much money in the first place is to use it to bully, not to cooler someone.

I guess against someone as aggressive as Persson I’d be more inclined to check and then decide whether to call if he bets based on whatever read I had. I’d probably be checking my entire range here - both really strong and mediocre hands.

My concern with blocker bet on turn is it’s likely to get called and then you’re still in a bad spot on the river.

You’re not clicking it back though in the first place. There’s dumb shit all over the place this hand.

This is the take away. Both played it lol bad. Just a casual $2m poorly played hand that wasn’t a cooler in any way.

Meanwhile my local 2/5 game is often full of GTO adjacent grinders.

Sorry

Yesterday guy beside me was just openly training on a GTO app while we played deep stack.

Just lol live strategy.

Just watched that video.

Went in completely blind to what happened and when I saw it was A :hearts: K :hearts: vs Q :hearts: 9 :hearts:, I was thinking “holy shit, did the board have J :hearts: T :hearts: 8 :hearts:?”

I was quite dumbfounded to see the flop have two 3s.

What’s the argument that Antonius played it bad?

People applying GTO to live are nearly always going to fuck it up and be worse for such.

It’s like a 5 minute lesson of “hey, try to be balanced in your ranges”

Nearly everything else is a scam.

Especially at low level. The funny part was openly training. I used it to own the guy.

Persson says Supreme Court or bust, baby. Going to be hard for the conservatives to resist an opportunity to fuck some tribes over if they agree to hear it.
