This may well also apply to the numerous people who have pontificated on this incident with varying degrees of certainty (present company excluded of course).

they should have a rule in NVG, if the blinds in this game > your BR you’re not allowed to post about it

I don’t think this is a correct framing of CW’s argument.

People with the rational pro-cheating position (which I think describes CW, but certainly not everyone who is anti-Robbi) believe they have refuted the premise of Robbi not cheating through reductio ad absurdum. They don’t need to identify the mechanism of cheating to believe there is cheating, they just have to come to the conclusion that there is no other explanation that makes sense. I happen to think there are other possible explanations, but I can see how a reasonable person might not be able to see those possibilities.

It’s hard to come up with an explanation where Robbi is rational and plays the way she does, so I believe the counter-explanation has to rely on her being irrational, either temporarily because she’s tilted or under the influence of drugs or permanently because she’s a crazy dumbfuck. I could see someone like CW being so steeped in politically correct liberal thought that he has trained his mind to avoid thinking “Robbi is a crazy bitch” and is inclined to give her too much credit as a human being.

She’s a nit/weak tag in poker in general, good enough to beat soft LA mid stakes games (which doesn’t take much), and she knows she’s in over her head a bit in this game without cheating. Whatever the cheating method is, it’s not against everybody or all the time, and it’s not in play in the 22 hand. If Garrett is the only target, for whatever reason, then her nitting it up in this spot makes sense.

2nd nut flush vs nut flush is pretty rare, it’s not just “flush over flush.”

He got paid back in that spot, zero chance he wasn’t cheated.

it really isn’t.

So he took hush money to cover up a crooked game?

or he went like “give me the money back or i go all over town telling people this game’s crooked” and they figured 100k was cheaper than dealing with that, true or no. very hard to look at garrett in that situation in a favorable light, even by his own telling of it.

Multiple ways to look at that, and I think his decision is questionable but probably not uncommon. Assuming the amount he was cheated for was significant to him at the time, he was in a really tough spot. Eat the loss, accuse them of cheating with no proof AND no evidence publicly, get dragged by the community, and get $0 or get the money back, stay quiet, and know others will get cheated. It’s a lose-lose for him.

That’s extremely unlikely.

I cant say i wouldnt do the same, but yeah

Garrett’s learned his lesson for sure. Bully and threaten to out someone as a cheat, get your money back, and go public with the accusation anyway. Who cares if there’s no proof and lol for “evidence” when you get the $ back, have everyone focus on the rank and amateur with the boobs, and the game never stops. win-win-win

He needs to stop talking and stop posting. Everything he does makes him look worse.

Unfair imo. I’ve seen him lose 10+ pots bigger than this live on stream and I’m an unfrequent watcher. This is the only time he’s taken it poorly. And it’s because there was a high chance of cheating!

I would have agreed before this but he is handling this so poorly it has made me rethink my opinion of him.

So Garrett thinks they have a dealer who is a mechanic or can otherwise set up hands because of a supposed nuts v second nuts hand, and so thinks after pulling that, the choose to set him up by giving him a oesd hoping he’d shove in that spot?

Eh, I really don’t agree with any of that and think it’s poorly written tbh.

It definitely stems from their personal experiences and people being misogynistic assholes at the table. That stuff happens for sure.

But there is that one billionaire woman who plays these games no one has ever said anything to because they’re awful!

Whenever a new player, online or live plays super high stakes people are immediately very suspicious! People think it’s ghosting or something weird right away!

Postle got away with it for a while because it was a 2/5 live game no one gave a shit about. It played smaller than most local games people here play in.

I truly don’t think the majority of suspicion/reaction to Robbi is based on her looks or gender. Have some assholes been assholes? Almost certainly. But there is a 0% chance if Mario Ho or Bicknell owned Garrett that it goes this route.

it is likelier that robbi has a net worth less than most of us than she is a billionaire
