I’m not a lawyer, but I think it’s actually illegal in Ohio for a judge to dismiss a case just because the victim doesn’t want to press charges:
A court shall not dismiss a criminal complaint, charge, information, or indictment or a delinquent child complaint solely at the request of the victim and over the objection of the prosecuting attorney, village solicitor, city director of law, or other chief legal officer responsible for the prosecution of the case.
The mic theory makes no sense to me. I believe in the berkey video he specifically calls out seeing the mic pack and it is attached on her back, so unless she has eyes in the back of her head… The other point is that I would’ve assumed that the muting is done on the software side of things. Meaning we have these hardware mics that all transmit to a receiver which is connected to a computer. Then on the computer there is some software that allows individual mics to be raised/lowered, not the mic being turned off. The only way it becomes plausible to me is if the audio tech added something to the pack that vibrates and he controls it.
Unrelated: if she had 0% of herself in that game, why is it up her to press charges?

If the signal is binary ahead/behind or binary bluff/don’t bluff, she could be signalled behind on flop and turn, then don’t bluff on river. She doesn’t know she’s drawing dead, just that she’s behind. Or maybe she only got signals in big pots on the river, who knows?
As I’ve seen saying all week there are a shit load of possible permutations of how to cheat, so it’s impossible to figure out the exact method, people involved, implementation strategy, etc.
He can control all 8 mic packs. I wonder if Rip stood up when she used a time bank chip, then turned around as if chatting with somebody or stretching, and she looked at his mic pack?

Could be software, could be a mixer, could be separate remotes, I’m not sure what HCL’s setup is - I’ve never seen a production run with that many wireless mics. I’ve run them and been on them with one wireless mic.
