ideally we get a resolution to this but we probably won’t, sad
I edited my post. I do think it’s noteworthy that Rast heard it, though, and I’m curious where he heard it - so I tweeted at him for more information and told him the stream of the seat draw looks standard.
If he heard it from someone involved with HCL, then maybe it should be looked at from more angles. If he heard it from @pokeriscool123 on Twitter, then it’s irresponsible that he even shared it. If it’s somewhere in between (like a high stakes pro or something), then it’s probably just a bullshit rumor.
man, if twitter was around in 2005 or so over half of poker twitter would’ve just been those
Wow dude. I legitimately thought this might make you re-evaluate. Jonny nailed it I guess.
You left in the lies! And just removed the mod disclaimer. Wtf!
Jesus Christ dude, do you even fucking read my posts? I replaced the mod disclaimer with my own, to make my own position clear and not make it look like I believe the seat draw was rigged, and my edit says I checked and there’s nothing to his claim.
I’d also like to put it here that even with Postle being 100x more obvious, so many people defending him on twitter/2p2
You removed the mods clear indication that it was a lie with an much weaker statement.
Remove the total and complete fabrication from the post!
I honestly don’t understand what you are doing itt. It’s bizarre beyond belief.
Yup, so much “He just has the best live reads, man! Deal with it!”
There is no total and complete fabrication in my post. I posted Brian Rast’s tweets. He’s a high profile member of the poker community with a strong reputation. His opinion is relevant. I clarified in the same post that I went back and checked and there’s no evidence of his claims.
The facts on this are:
-
Rast claims he heard the seat draw was not random.
-
The video doesn’t show anything suspect.
I presented both in my post, and tweeted that at Rast. It’s on him to clarify his position and where he heard it if he wants to, as I’m sure I’m not the only one pointing this out to him. It is impossible to disprove his statement that he heard that claim, which I posted appears to be a baseless claim.
The fact that he, a high profile member of the poker community with a good reputation, is saying that’s going around is newsworthy enough to be posted in this thread for discussion.
Also my disclaimer is stronger because:
A) I believe she cheated and am discrediting a theory of how she did it.
B) I originally posted it and pointed out that after review I don’t believe the claim.
C) My disclaimer + a mod disclaimer would look like I was forced to add it, mine alone shows my own views.
I just checked the post edit history, to be crystal clear, I changed:
Mod edit: seat draw comment is incorrect information. They drew seats on stream.
To:
Yes.
I’m speechless. All in one post.
He is STILL giving it credence in his later posts.
I guess I’m just too stupid to be worth talking to @Clovis8, so why don’t you just stop discussing this with me since I’m so dumb.
And? Rast is a very plugged in, top tier pro. They might be wrong in one aspect, but that invalidating the rest is also a fallacy.
He’s literally involved in organizing some of the biggest live big bet games in Vegas, if I’m not mistaken. He definitely plays in them. He’s also tight with Esfandiari, who’s probably one of the five most dialed in people in the LA private high stakes scene.
Imagine we were debating some MAGA poster about the election and he posted some totally false information posted by Giuliana which was shown moments later to be totally false and he replied
It is impossible to disprove his statement that he heard that claim, which I posted appears to be a baseless claim.
This is a very bad analogy man.
The seat draw is like 5% of a tweet thread.
