At the end of the day, if all of the live streamed games tighten their security standards, at least some good will have come from this regardless of the outcome of this specific investigation.

Skin tight yoga pants with a vibrating device roughly as powerful as a jackhammer LMFAO.

Andy who was sitting next to her that day thought it was extremely unlikely she was cheating. Today he’s unsure or close to 50-50 after reviewing her other hands played and footage from different streams/discussions about cheating methods. Also thinks it’s very unlikely anything is proven.

Live stream still going but 57:30 into this stream is when they get on a zoom call.

Yeah. Like watching her other hands she’s not good, but she’s not just whaling it up calling off crazy hands and running kamikaze bluffs. This hand sticks out like a sore thumb, and the hand alone takes it to a high level. The hand not matching her other play at all makes me more confident. Her reaction after and changing stories, which I know reasonable minds can draw different conclusions from, makes it more likely IMO. That’s basically what gets me to 95%.

I’m on the side of her immediate statements/behavior making me inclined to think she was not cheating. I think the Matusow-endorsed theory that she was on drugs seems more likely than cheating at this point.

So offer him 100:1?

He should offer me 95:1. I’ll take a bet at even odds right now.

99% sure and you’ll take a bet at even odds? Fucking LOL. You’re the one needling him to bet.

Why should I give all the vig? We are roughly equally confident.

How many times are you going to needle me about not betting while completely ignoring my reason not to @Clovis8? We’re at 4 or 5 now. You’re a smart person, you can read, you know exactly why I won’t bet.

Lol jwax brought it up no me!

What odds would you want for a bet on whether HCL’s investigation leads to a finding that cheating occurred? Or that Robbi is sufficiently cleared that she plays on HCL at least once within the next twelve months? Or that Adelstein returns the money?

I’m not really interested in betting any of them at “fair” odds given that there are likely people in the community with inside info, and we don’t know how the investigation will issue a “finding.”

I’d say it’s like 4 to 1 that after the investigation a majority of the community believes there’s proof she cheated, assuming that the results are made public… but it’s more like 100 to 1 that there’s enough proof for legal action. I’d say it’s like even money that she plays again, because if she isn’t proven to have cheated beyond a shadow of a doubt and they tighten security, having her play again would be a ratings bonanza, and I’m sure they can fill a table with 7 or 8 other people who trust the new protocols. Adelstein returns the money is probably like -300 at this point.

@anon38180840 how do you explain not a single other player leaving the game and in fact playing like 4 more hours?

The “losing her mind and taking an idiotic stand because she was tired of getting pushed around” explanation continues to remain the most plausible. The person being a bad/inexperienced player makes it more likely but I’ve seen good players do absolutely insane shit as well and I’m sure most people who have played enough poker have seen it too. Everybody will snap under the right conditions, and it’s much more likely than some elaborate cheating scheme deployed at the most lol possible time.

  1. They didn’t have access to her interview on camera or full details on what went down between her and Garrett.

  2. Garrett didn’t accuse her of cheating at the table there.

  3. They might have figured that even if she was cheating, the increased attention would make her stop.

  4. Greed/poor judgment.

  5. Most of them weren’t pros anyway, and most pros don’t think she cheated. Ivey and Andy had position on her and might have figured it’d be fairly easy to avoid her and still be in a very profitable situation, if they were suspicious. Andy has apparently gone from like 95% no cheating to 50-50 since.
