there’s similar risks live like getting robbed

I lost ~$12k when Red Nines folded back in the day.

i had a really big especially for me at the time 5 figure chunk on Full tilt, had a weird feeling about it, dunno what made me do it but I cashed it all out just a few months before BF and escaped with only a few thousand on pokerstars that I got back in what I remember as a reasonable time but trouble recalling now.

feel like all the young crypto people learned the lesson we learned back then, dont keep any amount of money on a site you arent comfortable having disappeared

Damn, I’ve never heard of red nines. I have a similar story from a site called CD poker. I ran 4K into 50k playing 10/20 NL, then lost most of it back playing online blackjack, and then when I tried to cash out they ghosted me for weeks and I eventually donked it all off. Fun times.

I think that’s a bit results-oriented, like when they discussed Jennifer Tilly’s check back on the river with her full house to Antonius which quickly gave her the label of an idiot. It would have been shitstorm if Antonious actually had the quads. Humans are dumb.

Red Nines was a skin of a poker site whose Name I can’t remember, Battlefield, maybe? All the skins closed up shop suddenly. That’s when I learned what an “unsecured creditor” was, lol. I remember another guy, bigt2k maybe, had six figures on there when it happened.

Heh yeah, brutal. It was really the wild wild west back then

Bart Hansen nails it

Cliffs.

Very unlikely any cheating
Doesn’t buy she misread hand (I still think it’s 60/40 she did)

I no longer think she misread her hand and was trying to cover up for making a really bad call.

I’m leaning more that way than I was a couple days ago.

I think early on I was reacting more to the “she couldn’t have misread her hand because she looked at it.” I mean, maybe I’m an idiot but I have misread cards I’ve been staring directly at so many times. I forget the most recent one, but I think I thought a T was an A for some reason and played up to the flop thinking I had AA (live).

still my take but im down 15k this week and i hate poker so i hope everyone involved goes to jail

It also hasn’t really been brought up but imo Garrett only loses it because they’re a new player. I believe it was their second time on stream.

Other people itt have said they’ve seen people do dumb shit live. That’s obviously true. But they’re usually the dumb whales who are down tons or barely know the rules.

If Keating or another whale who was already down 6-7 figures did this, people would bite their tongue because they know it’s coming back. I think the other week Keating was down like 500k and got even or it might have been the opposite. Regardless, giant swings because they’re terrible and actually do play like the money doesn’t matter to them.

But if I’m in a game and a different new player brings in a new player and this happened…I’m skeptical and wouldn’t take it well.

That’s a really fucking good point

sure, except he’s played with her a lot outside of HCL supposedly. he would have/should have had a really good idea she was a fish.

If that’s true then his reaction surprises me. I hadn’t heard that myself but haven’t watched 30 hours of Ingraham content or whatever.

yea I watched way too much. I’m not sure if that’s been confirmed by garrett, but due to the amount of other high stakes players that have attested she’s a complete donkey in games they’ve played with her, I think it’s believable he’s played with her a few times. even the yes-cheat people didnt dispute this.

Her being a complete and total donkey makes cheating so much less likely imo.

So does being 100% staked, if that’s true.

they don’t come out and say it they’ll usually say stuff like “she has an unorthodox style” which is just shark-speak for “theyre really terrible and i dont want to blow up my action” or there was one in which she nearly got yelled at for announcing 2 pair on a showdown but had a boat. to me it’s extremely obvious she doesn’t know what she’s doing like at all, but I don’t think either side denies that too much, they just interpret it differently.

Most of the tweets seemed to be from playing with her at the wsop this summer from what I saw
