There may be some argument that, as a woman, she gets less of a leash than other, more established, male pros, but you can argue the problem is that they are treated with kid gloves rather than she is being singled out.
I have listened to a podcast with Poker Bunny where she does admit to having been put in a mental institution multiple times, but she seems to see it as a conspiracy between her mother and the mental health field to control and mistreat her. For example, she sees her not being allowed to have her phone after a suicide attempt as harm being done to her. I’m not sure if she sees herself as mentally ill. Even if she does, I suspect she now refuses all treatment and medication.
It’s kind of a “choose your battles” answer.
I have no problem with sex work, but making a sex work implication at a sex worker isn’t some huge over the line insult imo.
I’d also add that man or woman, someone with a huge history of being very abusive towards players and dealers just doesn’t get sympathy towards me. We can choose better people to defend.
If this were a super-progressive left-wing forum, we’d all be hardcore anti-capitalists. It’s a left-of-Republicans forum, certainly, but that can span a wide range from Manchin to pure tankie.

Dude I honestly like you but you have a massive blind spot here. The only reason to mention her OF is to leverage the widespread stigma of sex work. You are just using it as shorthand for “she is lesser so worthy of scorn”.

I understand why Commonwealth was uncomfortable with my posts. I dislike when people think such posts are edgelording, which I interpret as intending to shock and provoke a reaction, and not my sincere beliefs that I wish to discuss further.
I also dislike when Clovis claims I make up hands because he doesn’t play in games that play that way. When he does that, he’s doing the same thing Robbi’s detractors are doing. He says I lie because the hands I describe are outside his experience so they can’t possibly be real. People who say Robbi cheated do so because they say the hand makes no sense so she must have cheated.

Can you name a hand that has had this much conversation where it wasn’t clear cheating? Like the first thing that comes to mind is potripper 10 high.
I genuinely can’t think of a non cooler to ever get this much discussion. This was on the front page of reddit!
Dwans Q10 was maybe the closest of the last decade but that was like 1% of this because they just got folds.
Does anyone believe the amount of coverage this has gotten would be the same if Robbi weren’t a beautiful young woman new to poker?
There have been plenty of attractive women in poker not to get those kind of insults or reactions though. It would be great if there were more women in the game, but there are plenty who play well and act normal. No one is just insulting Mario Ho and making sex worker implications at her.
No one has ever thought she cheated.
If Rampage or Mariano made this call a ~yr ago it gets the same coverage 100% imo.

It’s vague relevant in that she is known to be someone who is capable of treating sex in a transactional fashion, so she could plausibly trade sex for buy-ins. Further evidence would be that she has admitted to working as an escort in Australia.
Brandi Hawbaker seems to be a clear example of some who used sexuality (not necessarily sex) to gain things in the poker world.

Not quite this much conversation, but the last hand that had a lot people talking and having opinions and making Youtube videos was Negreanu laying down a better boat to Antonius on HSP.
not accusing anyone here of this, but I strongly believe this wouldn’t have been as big of a deal if she was a man and I feel a lot of misogyny coming out of the pro-cheat side on twitter.

I agree with this. At least within the community/industry… and it’s not our fault what happens on non-poker Reddit, or in tabloids around the world.
If it’s misogynistic, then you should report it.
Brad’s videos get upwards of a million views every week.
Mariano and Rampage get a ton of views.
If it wasn’t for this hand no one would care about Robbi, no matter how they looked.
Marle gets about ~5k views on their videos despite being an attractive female player, way less than her dopey looking boyfriend gets on his videos.
If she ran into trips or whatever on the turn, then no I don’t think anyone would be talking about it much at all. But that’s kind of the whole point, right? It wouldn’t be sus if she called and ran into a monster.
I 100% agree with you on this. I’m saying I don’t know if these non-poker tabloid sites pick up the story if there’s not a woman in it. Like if it’s Rip and Gman, I don’t think news or news tabloid sites would cover it. I still think it would be every bit as big on Poker Twitter/YouTube/etc and on PokerNews.
