I agree. He and I can come to an agreement here but your question does point out it’s a bit too ambiguous right now maybe.

An easier bet to adjudicate would be on whether or not HCL’s investigation leads to them explicitly banning her from their games.

But that would only make sense if this bet was about IF there was cheating, which it’s not.

the argument is that w rfid you can know the runouts but if that’s the case why did she continue hands she was drawing dead?

Can RFID determine the order of cards in a deck that close to each other?

HCL can barely read the cards when the players rub them all over the card reader. (Many times they actually can’t!) There is no way anything is reading the order of cards in that deck imo.

Polk is going on about the shufflemaster being hacked. I don’t know enough about this but this seems impossible right?

For this to work the shuffler has to know which cards are in which order right? As far as I know, it has no idea. It just randomizes them. There is no reason for a shufflmaster machine to know the card order right?

I don’t think that audio is actually compelling. The second question is much quieter so it’s not clear she heard it. My take is she’s still talking about whether she has pocket 3’s, not answering the new question.

I’m leaning no cheat/fish gonna fish too, but I think this misread argument is ignoring some solid information and isn’t doing the position any favors. You can see clear at day that she looks back at her cards before calling the all-in, and after she made the call answered “no” to a direct question about whether she was holding a 3 before the hands were turned over.

The stuff about the misread comes up later.

Not misreading her hand doesn’t strengthen the cheating argument but does strengthen the fish argument imo.

There are some automatic shufflers that can sort the deck.

Specifically, the Shufflemaster Deckmate 2.

Is how she looks at her cards consistent with her story of only looking at her top card to see if it was a club?

I have sometimes pretended to look at my cards without actually looking.

I think @Yuv’s take on all of this is closest to my own.

Someone upthread mentioned that Garrett once told a story about getting his money back from cheaters. I remember hearing that (maybe we heard the same mention or maybe it’s a story he tells a lot and is part of who he thinks he is). Seems relevant.

ETA: seems relevant to his actions and state of mind … he needs to return the money he basically … coerced

Don’t think anyone can determine what she actually looked at but when combined with the way she answered the question about having a 3 after making the call but before the hands were turned over (and it doesn’t appear that she looked back again after she made the call) I’d be willing to concede the point that she did not misread the hand.

Funny: Poker players remember their losses and beats more than their wins. Except when on tilt. On tilt, you remember your wins … the brain is a weird thing.

I’m like, “I don’t really tilt, except this time I 4 bet with 23o and flopped a straight to crack aces playing 5-10 when my usual game was 1-2 …” … except I often tilt and that’s just the one time I won huge* …

*where “huge” is “getting back” the money I was tilted over

Wow this is really interesting. I just checked their website and it can in fact read the cards. Seems like a huge security opening for a small gain of being able to sort a deck back to factory. I’ve never seen that function used in any casino.

I stand corrected.

I wonder what the EV is at each seat on a factory sorted deck dealt to a 9 handed table

Sure. I think it’s binary or no cheating. Maybe it was rip signaling her to call. Maybe she was high and has a double digit IQ. I really don’t know.

Ok so to be clear. If the cheating method contains any information above ahead behind I win?

So if she is told to raise call or fold I win?

I’ve just watched the new stream, and have seen her play a bit in previous, and you can put me in the “Strongly leaning towards not cheating” camp. After the hand, for the rest of the stream, she isn’t remotely acting like someone that was caught cheating. She’s acting like a fool that’s in over their head and putting on bravado to try to cover up the fact that they don’t remotely belong in the situation. The whole convoluted explanation was a cover because she was embarrassed that she had misread her hand, and didn’t want to look stupid and weak, not realizing that her cover explanation made her look even more stupid.
