Because it isnt a guarantee at that point. Essentially the prize pool will be whatever the total number of players are. Why call it a $1 mil guarantee if it isnt?
Are you of the opinion that means the prize pool won’t be $1 million if they have 390 entries?
I guess the alternative explanation is that they’re just informing you that anything under 449 entries means there’s an overlay.
Otherwise, you’re right, that’s nonsensical to call it a “guarantee” if the guarantee is contingent on getting enough entries to cover the prize.
This is what I assumed it meant.
Fuck me, you’re right, I think I read it wrong, but its worded really poorly. “To meet guarantee” reads to me as though if 449 don’t show up then the guarantee isnt met and therefore wont be honored.
But it may just be outlining that in order to meet the guarantee without overlay they need at least 449 (though this isnt neccesarily the case based on the wording.)
Anybody have examples of tourneys with guarantees with similar wording in their rules?
I’d definitely ask. Some places have failed to honor guarantees the last few years.
which is welching and i wish it would be a bigger scandal than it is
That screen name, lol
i watch almost zero poker video content but this was pretty entertaining
Lol this is awesome. I legit did a spit take when he flashes the book cover at the end.
Kinda cool to get a free Phil video review out of it as well.
Seemed like Phil was a little annoyed at the end when he made the comment about don’t do that again for w/e
I took it as he was giving advice that it’s not a good idea to play against a top pro heads-up for a huge chunk of your roll - not that he was annoyed.
SUPER SUPER HIGH STAKES on Triton, new eps with 1k/2k/2k Euro blinds and most hands being straddled to 4k or 8k Euro.
First ep starts a bit slow but action quickly gets heavy. Nano is such an elite commentator.
GGpoker gonna have an online mystery bounty tournament with 1 million top bounty prize
Essentially a lottery ticket but I’ll likely play.
