nahhh, like less of real person, more of a persona, more fictional writing. I don’t think he answered questions in the comments, he just posted his stories of getting his dreams smashed over and over again and how miserable his life is
I played in an online PLO game on UB in 2005, maybe $1/2. There was a 100% vpip guy that was getting worked in the chat. He got all pissed off and invited any brave souls to play $5/10. I jumped in and stacked him a few times heads up, then stacked him again and he asked me if I was cheating. He involuntarily disclosed he didn’t know the 2 and only 2, 3 and only 3 rule and the railbirds started laughing at him and he left. I was pissed.

The FGators thread which explains his weak/tight style and how he can never win since he loses so much without showdown is the single most I have actually laughed and learnt something at the same time (I had just started when I first read it)

One time way back I was playing 3/6 NL and got challenged to HU 10/20 NL, I stacked him quickly at 10/20 and sat out. He then made a thread on 2p2 how I hit and ran him, and then I responded in the thead and agreed to keep playing, tons of people railed it and took him for another 5 buy ins while everyone went nuts in the chat. Probably my favorite online poker memory lol.

yea fgators was amazing. when they got the graph out of his 10 million hands or whatever insane thing he had, it was truly amazing. I dont know if the image survived, I tried to find it a few years ago.
Ah, didn’t realize I had started it late and yes the start is gold. He’s already on mega-tilt before the session even starts lol.
Everyone knows the classic tuff_fish lines (the best ones are in the Mario video and tuff_fish is having a bad day video), but it’s all the little tuffisms sprinkled throughout the videos that make them A+++.
For example “I get KQ, but I’m UTGish” (he was in the CO lol)
“Well I completely whiff the flop, but at least I have position” (he has QJ w/ no backdoor suits on an 867 flop 4 ways)
“I moved down to 1-table so I can really take my time and not make a mistake. Ok we only have a 4-way and 2 overs, this is a fold” (he had AQ on JT8 and only counted the 9 as straight outs)

It’s been almost twenty years and I still have no idea if FGators was running worse than any human being ever did or was bad and misapplied his pokertracker stats.

IIRC he did run somewhat bad in all in EV, but so what. He was otherwise too tight and passive and got abused in non showdown pots.
Edit: Actually now I’m unsure about my memory. Maybe the funny thing was that he was actually running fine in all in EV, but was so terrible in non-showdown pots that it was killing his win rate.

The man was a legend. I reckon he could’ve made low to mid 6 figures/year streaming on Twitch if he had come up in a different era.

I have a pretty good memory for the classic BBV stuff because that was pretty much the only board I posted on for my first couple of years on 2+2
