It won’t though because she is a good looking woman. No matter what she does she will be mountains for hate for that fact alone. So many guys can’t accept a good looking woman getting any advantage for that trait all the while having no issue at all with the daily edge in life they get for being male. It’s the last blind spot for so many men on the progressive end of the spectrum. They can identify the most subtle racism in any argument but seem totally blind the most obvious sexism or misogyny.

The best underground games I’ve been in involved characters who might say some amazingly offensive things that you just have to ignore. Not saying I’ve always done this but I think being good at poker requires doing so.

You apparently missed the conversation about how she’s not actually that good at chess and is only famous because of her looks and the queen’s gambit coming out at the right time.

Not that any of that is factually incorrect (well maybe the part about only being famous due to her looks), but no one scrutinized Mr. Beast, Ninja, etc. that same way.
Also, she didn’t get a ton of heat here because people hate Hellmuth more and Hellmuth was already doing a good job making sure the lone girl at the game was being belittled (and yes he was derogatory to everyone, but was by far the worst to her). If she were to sit at a random stream and play, I bet she would get some heat.

I’ll never comment if some player is saying the dumbest shit but I step in 100% of the time if they are attacking a female player. I’ve done this dozens times. Got two guys banned and I’ve made one guy leave the game to avoid being endlessly berated by me.
I always ask the woman first if they want me to comment.
I mean I likely had a similar reaction to you when I first read the tweet but instead of rushing off to my favorite progressive forum to trash her I instead noticed how no other female pros joined in on the fun while actually several voices stepped in to defend her, and chose to reconsider my position.

She’s doing the social media influencer thing, so it’s arguably in her best interest to drive engagement by posting provocatively on Twitter. She benefits from maximizing hardcore supporters, not net favorability, so it’s in her best interests for us to laugh at her and get people increasingly defensive on her behalf.
I haven’t encountered this but mad respect for doing this.

I weirdly can’t think of a single time when someone has gotten out of line on a woman live. Don’t see a ton of female grinders locally and the female regs are mostly old and either ignored or respected because they’re nice people.
Female dealers either get better attention due to looks/skill or way worse behavior because of looks/ability though. Seen dudes make female dealers cry several times and then the guy is gone for the night.
