He fucked up the timing. Would’ve been more epic to go green right at 25k hands.
I can’t decide if it hyperbolic to call this the most amazing comeback in poker history but I can’t think of a more amazing one.
I once lost a 32-1 chiplead heads-up in our extremely top-heavy prize pool home game end-of-season tourney. This feels in the same magnitude ballpark. 2007. Still mad.
Yeah, the list is
- Suzzer’s buddy
- Galfond
This guy fucks
He never forgave him.
It was a chick who was pretty clueless about poker. Somehow that made it worse. I kept whittling her down and whittling her down. Then she’d have to get all in and and suck out or I wouldn’t suck out. Repeat for many many iterations.
Of course we also rabbit-chased everything and literally every call I made I would have won if I had gone the other way.
But 13 years later I can almost be happy for her.
Yes, but had she done any pio solver work prior to the match?
With less than 900 hands left, Phil is down $36K. The challenge should finish Sunday.
Gogo other guy
This has been so fun to watch and a great break from these shitty times. You couldn’t script it better.
I can’t wait for Sunday. Feels like Masters Sunday isn’t cancelled.
Final day starting right now (11 am eastern), airing on twitch. Galfond down €8,171 with ~700 hands left.
Phil up 15k w/ about 400 hands left to go.
For the whole challenge, ~ 900k
he finished the day down 900k but was down around 970k at one point during that day
Phil currently up €600 lol.
Crazy how close this is.
Phil started losing his shirt the second I tuned in.
This is nuts! Phil down 23k w/220 hands left. Right now Veni would lose 33k by folding every hand. So much pressure on Phil, can’t even afford to lose a single 100BB pot but needs to ramp up the aggression.
This is so crazy.
