I have an issue with my toenails turning black occasionally from sports - mostly tennis. Would these socks help with that?
I’ve had badly bruised nails for years from all the toe jamming. Have you been to a podiatrist? Not sure the socks would help, but it’s possible if they are more cushioned than what you are currently wearing.
I have not. I used to get bruised nails al the time from snowboarding. Just started getting them again in the last year when I took up tennis regularly. Think I might just need better shoes.
Yea mine originally were from skiing and now from years of pickleball. Correct shoe fit for your foot makes a huge difference, but also worth see a podiatrist to make sure there’s not also a fungal infection that is making it worse.

My toes get all jammed up when I pickleball, I defintely need to look at some different shoes for that. I’ve been wearing some Nike running shoes or trainers (not really sure what they are), should I be looking for something that is more specific to tennis? My shoes seem to grab almost too well and I think thats causing my toes to jam up into the front of the shoe, seems like something that allows for a little slide would be better.
Running shoes are really bad for pickleball. A running shoe is only designed to give support for forward movement, with very little lateral support for any side to side moving which there is a ton of in pickleball/tennis. That can make it easier to roll your ankle or otherwise hurt your feet, and you’ll possibly wear through the outsole faster if it’s not designed for the beating that court sports give them. Ideally you want a tennis or court sneaker. The best I’ve found for my preferences is the Babolat Mach 3, and I always buy them from midwestsports.com as they have the best prices. Unfortunately very few brick and mortar retailers carry a good selection of court shoes, so you need to find a tennis shop if you want to try any brands on for sizing.
ETA: I’m only ever playing on hard courts. If you play on a gym floor type surface you can also look at indoor court/volleyball shoes, but don’t use those on hard courts.

This probably goes in a lol law thread but… I was previously friends w a married couple who split up. The dude turned out to be mentally unstable. I maintained a friendship with my female friend. … I was unexpectedly next to him at a farmers market this evening and he said me, out of the blue, “I have a contract out on you.”
I’ve previously spoken to the police about him. His ex has an order of protection.
Sigh. Police say they can’t do anything until he does and my friends lawyer says a similar oop is unlikely to be granted.
Small town drama.

I don’t like your fucking music. I do not. I think it sucks a bunch of ass. So please do not play it on my freakin’ bus. And nothing like this would happen if one of the good drivers, like Sean or Jonathan or Anna were driving. I had a complete asshole POS do this at a hotel breakfast at 6:30am. I’m normally pretty tolerant of stuff like this, but this guy got a loud “Dude wtf is wrong with you?” out of me. He turned it down after that, but I still wanted to smash his asshole face in.
