Here for the #thoughtsandprayers
The fact that I’d have to clarify which one if someone asked me what I was reading about right now and I answered “this weekends mass shooting” is insanely depressing. There was a time not too long ago where these events would shake the country and grab headlines for weeks. I actually used to think one of the massacres would lead to meaningful gun reform. Lol me. It’s quickly become normalized. Just completely insane and sad.
After newtown it was pretty obvious nothing would ever happen. And that happened in a somewhat sane political environment.
Just really sad and angry. My deplorable brother posted this a few days ago, doubt this changed anything for him.
That party really should be made illegal.
Damn, that’s not far from me. The Oregon District is such a chill venue. Now Im going to spend the rest of my weekend worrying if anyone I know got got.
Swings and roundabouts
Don’t waste time arguing. It is not only a waste of time, it is incredibly depressing. People like Mick Mulvaney and really anyone associated with the NRA or Republican Party are straight up sociopaths. They laugh at your outrage.
Give money and vote. That’s it.
“The suspected shooter was shot and killed by responding officers “in less than a minute” after opening fire, Mayor Nan Whaley said at a Sunday morning press conference. Police said they were only aware of one shooter.”
Less than a minute.
9 dead
26 injured.
35 people hit with bullets in less time than it took me to type this.
That is insanity. We are a nation of insane people who think anybody should have this type of weaponry.
“The President has consistently denounced violence.”-Rick Santorum on CNN
CNN is a complete joke and embarrassment.
Mainstream outlets including CNN have gotten rid of a string of “conservatives” who became too objectionable. They can always get replacements. They can shit-can Santorum any time afaic.
Man I was hoping that some crass racist tweet was going to be the worst thing I woke up to this morning.
