‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens - Gun Violence in America

Still remember when my cousin’s ex-husband showed me his gun locker with about 20 weapons, and then went on to explain he had a gun hidden in every room in their house and was ALWAYS strapped when he left the home.

It was about that time that I began making plans to live in Japan.

So many Chiefsplanet guys live like that. Never mind that it would have done nothing to protect them from getting caught in the crossfire today. Guns are a security blanket that makes them feel safe from the big scary world.

And they keep allowing more guns into the world, which leads to more scenes like today, which makes them even more scared, which makes them want to loosen or remove what little gun laws we have left, which leads to even more violence, etc. The circle of life.

In Missouri you don’t even have to take a class to pack.

Best part is what he immediately follows with:

Such dummies. It’s not political, it’s murder.

I think they took the link to the CP politics page off the mainpage or something. Haven’t stopped by in ages.

i’m 100% the opposite, i assume everyone in public has a gun. keeps me out of trouble.

i always have a gun in my car (and house obv), i rarely carry it with me though. i have found that when i do, i am like, a LOT more likely to blow off and smile at someone being rude or whatever. i kinda think it’s that i know i have a responsibility to be chill when i have a 9mm in my jacket. most people probably aren’t like that, some people are probably MORE amped up knowing they can mouth off to whoever they want.

it’s probably 90/10 i’m calmer dealing with bs because i’m getting older vs i just assume everyone has a gun, but yeah, in youngstown everyone has a gun lol. older white folks, if you see a 60/70-something white man anywhere near the hood, 90% they have a gun.

There is a way to prevent this:

We’ll also need to stop having schools, concerts, churches, grocery stores…

Did they quit running the Boston marathon?

“They have to think twice about having these parades,” said former Boston Police Commissioner Bill Evans, who in 38 years with the department worked 12 championship parades and the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. “When you have that many people hanging around in one place, nothing good’s going to happen.”

I mean, at least not in America

Lmao now at the point they Americans can’t be in large groups near each other

You have the FREEDOM to stay in your home 24/7. Don’t let SOCIALIST Dems take that away from you.

Been that way for a while, at least on planes.

This isn’t really a joke. It’s 100% true.

This.

I always take the right lane at any double lane drive thru, not getting trapped during a shooting.

I also mentally drill myself a few times every month, hoping that I will have to courage to run at a shooter.

if you’re thinking about shit like that, i’d bet you would. i would. i think. but i’m always very aware of my surroundings, at the gym, in restaurants, walking my dog… i’ve always been pretty quick thinking in possibly bad/violent spots, i don’t think i would panic, but who knows.

Sometimes you can’t really know until it happens.

I’ve freaked out at someone getting a severe hangover cramp early in the morning but didn’t miss a beat evacuating an old house (with 4 separate apartments) that was on fire and looked like an inferno.

I’d lose the will to live if I ever had to look back and feel like I could have helped people.
