We are all clear on how to use the RFC process to impeach a bad mod, right?
Fidget and King of NY came in firing about how flawed this brand new system is, at the very least. If youâre shocked by the quality of the nominees, it seems to be to be a pretty likely outcome based on how the system was drawn up. It would be inevitable that a member of one faction would eventually be nominated, and itâs hardly a surprise that someone from the other would jump in to counter.
Not exactly, but if it comes to that, anything left of âthe communityâ is dead.

as talking about a flaw in the new one? OK, buddy. Generally I donât suggest overhauling things I donât think are flawed.
Iâm not sure I would consider fidget as âthe people who were eager to implement the new systemâ. I mean, to me it looks like one guy shared an idea?
But again, just in case you arenât successful in begging the mods to ban me, what did I find out when I âfucked around and found outâ? Sounds bad!
How about no mods then?

Yeah these polls are a sad indictment of this place.
Nobody cares about moderation, everyone just wants the site to suffer and become garbage.
We make up all these rules to rotate mods in because that what people say they want and then wonât approve anyone to be a mod who isnât part of their bloodline. Itâs dumb.
People should vote against mod candidates who have a serious flaw / transgression that makes them incompatible. Not that they are on the other team.

Youâre not on anyoneâs shitlist, but you picked this fight with me out of the blue. Iâve always liked you and never had any conflicts with you as far as I recall.
But if youâre going to smear me and dismiss my opinions as bad faith without actually engaging with me then thatâs pretty shitty and weâre probably not going to get along going forward. Again, which is a shame because I always thought we got along fine? Whatever.
I dont think thats the case for many no/no voters.
There are a ton of uncontroversial folks who would get 90% of the vote no matter which âteamâ they are on.

What would make you think in two months someone sane would want to be a moderator here?
Running out of mods has always been an issue with forced rotation and if we are going to not vote any new mods we are going to crash into that almost immediately.
How do I volunteer to be a mod again? I couldnât find the thread with a quick search. I guess Iâm insane enough to do it. Pretty sure I havenât pissed anyone off in my time here.

Who do you think will volunteer in two months who wouldnât now? Especially after a double no vote for the only two people who stepped forward.
They can apply again in two months and be guaranteed to get in because there is no choice? Water weed dune hair.
Give it time and I believe it will work. The problem was the only people who volunteered this time were polarizing. Someone like @tilted volunteering is a good sign for the future.

If the forum is at a point where no poster can get 2/3 approval, then the forum is dead anyway. This is all part of the process, and one volunteer was on their way to being approved until discussion, including one current mod, said that it would likely be better to not add anyone at this time and wait until next time.
