National Basketball Association - 2023/24 Season

He landed before the release but it’s too damn cool not to count (and, KP fouled him). I’m on board with letting sweet shots stand.

Although that looks like nothing lol.

I am holding out hope that the mavs haven’t lost back to back games this playoffs.

Hes become a far right crypto grifter basically.

Welp.

Mavs ain’t no Heat

yeah that pritchard shot should end the series

Mavs are 2023 Finals Heat. Ran above expectation then turned back into a pumpkin.

Mavs getting a taste of their own medicine here. They were great on taking care of business and putting teams away at the end. Boston is putting them on the receiving end of that.

I think both teams are really good at constantly fouling lightly and putting pressure on the refs to eventually let things go.

Feels good after bumass Poole did that in 2022.

Seems like Porzingis is cooked, but I’m not sure they need him.

Game 2
Dallas
Wide Open 2-11 - Open 3-12

Boston
Wide Open 6-18 - Open 4-16

Is there a breakdown on corner 3s VS other? Seems like outside of Luka (and at some point Kyrie) no one on the Mavs can shoot from anywhere other than the corner.

Only 8 Corner 3 attempts for the Mavs in the Series. Prior series for Mavs:

  • 45 in 5 games against the Wolves
  • 97 in 6 games against the Thunder (lol)
  • 56 in 6 games against the Clippers

Screenshot below is corner and above the break.
This link might take you to the page - NBA’s website has some nice ways to look at shot selection.

Celtics by comparison have 26 corner 3s in the 2 games

Hurley passing on LA.

Hurley’s current deal is $32M over six years. Leaving aside the possibility that it’s been sweetened, how much money did he pass up by staying put?

Being a college coach and it being the Lakers he probably gets canned after 2 years… was all $70 million guaranteed? Will he be able to jump right back into coaching a top college program after? Does he want the NBA and know a better run organization will come calling soon with a similar offer?
