I am concerned about Jrue. When they extended him, I said they had no choice but to extend him, but heās had more trouble with quickness this year than I anticipated, and could well be on the precipice of a cliff.
And heās now shooting 36% from the field for the playoffs (which, I know, has historically been an issue for him). His finishing around the rim this year has been bad, and right now heās at 55% within 3 feet from the playoffs (which is abysmal).
Managing contracts as guys get older is extremely difficult. So often you end up overpaying for performance.
