Saw Bogdanovich’s other consensus classic, Paper Moon (1973) today. Also excellent. Instant reaction is that The Last Picture Show is still slightly better, but I see that Letterboxd actually rates Paper Moon the slightly higher of the two. Anyway, these are both movies that people should watch. No clear streaming option for The Last Picture Show, but Paper Moon is on Kanopy.
