Sometimes I have Svengoolie on in the background when I’m doing stuff around the house, this week he’s got the 1930’s Mystery of the Wax Museum, starring Fay Wray. It’s great, maybe I like the Vincent Price version a bit more, but this one’s got some stuff going for it. Fay Wray is of course one of the GOAT scream queens but with this being a pre-code movie she’s also allowed to be sassy and sexy and fun.
Pre-code stars I would most want to see in a porno are Marlene Dietrich, Ana May Wong, and Myrna Loy.
Edit: Shanghai Express (1932) stars both Dietrich and Wong, I’m going with that one.
I love Gene Hackman but that’s a hard (soft?) pass.
