Of course it does. What purpose do they serve other than avoiding actually having reasonable discourse. We are all guilty of them from time to time. That is probably unavoidable. Repeated personal insults should not be tolerated by anybody myself included.

Just so you’re all aware, RiskyFlush is the reason I quit this site. When he turned on me here and just ghosted me when I wanted to have a discussion with him, it made me very sad.

Funnily enough he had a similar sulk with me too - after I turned down his idea of joining a film watch party he put me on ignore and made some passive/aggressive reference to me in another thread lol.

I think you got a lucky escape.

Where did I say anyone owes me anything? You engage with me or not, just like the few hundred posters on this site do each day with each other. I’ve said it over and over, my only issue is when my character is assassinated based on lies, which has been thoroughly done here. Cuse wants me silenced and gone. Are you okay with that?

I’m not condoning any of it and I am sure I have been guilty of it some. I basically am making a quality argument. If you occasionally do it, that seems unavoidable. If a huge % of your interactions are doing it that is something else entirely.

The only real reasons I read this site are so I can see what the Trump bot is saying and the COVID thread. When the election is over, my participation here likely will be as well outside of only reading/posting in the COVID thread. I can’t even commit to quitting because this is the only place I get Trump bot. Now, if goofy could hook up Trump bot in the old politics site then maybe that’s an out for me.
