Major League Baseball (Part 2)

Not natural.

2-1-3-4

Probably the most exciting though. Rooting for the HR in the last at bat has to be awesome and seems more eealistic than rooting for the triple last

angels just dumped everyone they traded for and some others who are free agents end of the year (not that guy)

mistakes were made

but LOL at trading things for players then immediately dumping those players just to save a few million and not getting a haul for one player instead

the yankees and angels have a worse record post trade deadline than the royals and a’s

The Angels gave up Edgar Quero and Ky Bush for 5 starts of Lucas Giolito and 12 appearances from Reynaldo Lopez

the white sox could literally claim those guys back it’d be a top 5 most absurd trade ever

Giolito’s angels era? 6.89

I love this. Every terrible thing that could happen to them since making the dumbest move in baseball history has happened. Its like every baseball god came together at once to smite them for their stupidity.

Giolito was awful as an angel but he’s getting claimed by somebody obviously as is all but at least one of that group they just dumped.

I don’t want to see Tallion again and Smyly’s sucked too and that’s just the Cubs.

lmao starting lineup for the angels was set two of those guys were on it

wonder if some team just claims everybody

Giolito and Lopez have been teammates forever, traded together twice, now dumped at the same time

Angels, who were a half-game ahead of Seattle on deadline day

this is wild also

I’m guessing ownership had the final say on trading Ohtani. Lol Arte, never change.

Cobb has a no-no heading into the 9th in SF

omg it’s not a perfect into the 9th cause of an error

lost the no hitter with 2 outs ouch

Unbelievable. Missed the no hitter by about 10 inches

now his arm is dead for nothing

He’ll be fine. Only threw from the stretch once all night before that.

Boring game. Went with my daughter and spent a lot of time walking around.

the A’s when rebuilding goes very very wrong

A’s trade Matt Olson for Christian Pache (traded), Joey Estes, Shea Langeliers, Ryan Cusick
A’s trade Matt Chapman for Kevin Smith, Gunnar Hoglund, Zach Logue (released), Kirby Snead
A’s trade Sean Murphy for Esteury Ruiz, Manny Piña (released), Kyle Muller, Freddy Tarnok, Royber Salinas
A’s trade Frankie Montas and Trivino (both very injured now) for Ken Waldichuk, Luis Medina, J.P. Sears, and Cooper Brown hey you won a trade good job
A’s trade Sean Manena for Adrian Martinez and Euribiel Angeles (wasn’t protected for rule 5, nobody took him)
Bethancourt for Cal Stevenson (traded for cash) and Christian Fernandez
Cole Irvin for Darell Hernaiz
Bassitt for J.T.Ginn and Adam Oller (released)

also they had Jesus Luzardo and dealt him for a rental in Marte who was fine but they missed the playoffs Luzardo is better than anyone they got back in all those big trades. Also has three more years of team control. Luzardo’s war this season is higher than the entire list above combined, even taking out the negative guys I think (well close enough shea, and a few pitchers from the yankees is really all there is there right now)

jfc at how lopsided this all is combined though. Braves in particular should be forced to pay for the stadium.

Pache was traded for Billy Sullivan.

The A’s have this fetish for guys who can run but not hit and not draw walks. far cry from MONEYBALL

Also not a single name above is in the top 10 prospects on mlb.com for the A’s. Not one.

Estes and Hernaiz might be the only ones right now in the minors who end up on the A’s someday. if it’s not this next month as a why not thing

well they used to call it that place the cell

What if Ohtani signs a short deal with the Angels for a ton of money, then signs with the A’s just in time for their move to Las Vegas?
