Let’s cash those Mookie MVP tickets.
Julio out of the lineup again today. Tend to think they’re just being cautious and giving him a full recovery from something minor since it’s an off day tomorrow, but last night was just like someone reached in and removed their skeleton a few minutes before first pitch. I couldn’t even be mad at them for the lackluster performance under those circumstances.

Orthodox Jewish minor leaguer works on his curve while trying keep kosher in the dusty wilds of the California League.
Trivia time: Only two players have won ROTY, MVP, and competed in and won 3 world series rings (wording is important there.) Who are they?
I quit, I’m never doing better than this.

I’m just so bad at all of the “who played on team x and team y” questions.

One is super easy but I had to cheat and look at the Baseball Reference ROTY list to figure out the other and even then it took me 4 guesses.
Was it the more current or less current player that was easy for you?
I read your post and thought “oh shit, [more current player] isn’t the only one?”
Interesting. Would have thought the older one waa more obvious.
I know one and am now curious to know whether he is the most current one or not.
Still not sure why the wording matters. I was thinking maybe someone who played in 3 WS and won another ring as manager, but only guy I can think of is Frank Robinson and he sucked as a manager.
Or maybe it’s something weird like where Jeter’s WS MVP counts?
Probably is but I’m biased as a fan of the more recent player’s team and having watched his entire career compared to only knowing a little about the other guy’s career.
Yeah I missed Yankees Rockies too, got everything else.
I got lucky with my old standby, knew he’d been on the Rockies but wasn’t certain about the Yankees
Octavio Dotel
I had to look it up cause I had no idea–he in played 8 games only pitched 5 innings for the rockies and you made it sound like duh, everybody knows that lmao
Yeah, today was probably my best rarity ever (past or future): 35. Always enjoy trying to go for pitchers with Silver Slugger.
Another game another 0 runs in suppott for Logan Webb who threw 6 innings of 1 run ball befofe giving up two runs in the 7th. Miserable.
Number one ahead of Greinke. The next closest with a decent ERA has .2 greater support.
he’s 9-12 with a 3.5 ERA and isn’t on the A’s
sounds like whoever is the best pitcher with low run support be the King Felix award
Steele has been fantastic though, not surprised.
