The 5-7% support for the PPoC is really horrifying. I see thier signs around here lots.

The racism party has more support than the environment party.

Lol Canada.

Counterpoint - Bernier tried to hijack the mainstream Con party with his bullshit and even the Cons were like uh, no thanks, that’s a little much. In America when the mainstream conservatives were presented with a deplorable asshole they stood up and applauded and proclaimed him the savior if the party.

I think I’ve seen just slightly more Conservative signs than PPC signs but my riding hasn’t voted in a conservative since I’ve been alive so mostly Liberal and NDP signs and lots of “Hate Has No Home Here” signs. Although scary that PPC gets support I was actually a little worried that NDP and Libs would split the vote even more than usual here so it’s sort of nice to see some split between Cons and PPC.

I will say that deplorables are so loud with their opinions that its easy to think they have more support than they actually do have. Hopefully we see that in the results of the election.

I hope you are right but it feels more like the start of the tea party.

I just voted.

GL Canada

I did a run along the Rideau Canal yesterday, and there were three signs tossed in the water – two Liberal and one PPC.

I think this is likely. There’s an ongoing civil war amongst the right, and this is just going to be another data point that Bernier supporters from 2017 point to to say their way is the correct way. O’Toole will lose tonight and be out by the end of the year.

The bigger question is, assuming the Liberals maintain power, when does Trudeau step down?

Also, WTF is in the water in Renfrew County

A livestream recap of a debate on YourTV Ottawa Valley shows Lariviere answering a question about efforts to encourage people to get a COVID-19 vaccine by suggesting proof-of-vaccination systems are the first step toward Nazism.

“I’ve been vaccinated, but I don’t want to have to walk around with a passport … the way I look at it is the Gestapo and the German military during the Second World War wanted people to be tattooed,” he said.

“And this is the next, you know, the beginning of that step. We’ve already got an autocracy in Ottawa, we don’t have a democracy, and that troubles me.”

Jewish leaders in the Ottawa area and elsewhere have said comparing the pandemic response to the actions of the Nazis is “vile” and “dangerous.”

Their actual MP is Cheryl Gallant, a hateful whackjob who’s said many things at least that bad in her 20 years representing the riding.

Green Party is a total mess right now.

Voted ndp in my riding which will go like 78% conservative.

I wish I was able to vote next door in Ottawa Centre (Catherine McKenna’s open seat), the NDP candidate actually has an outside shot at winning there.

Went Liberal, riding only was a 2 pt win last election over cons although I quite liked the NDP candidate this time. Think GF will probably go NDP.

Green -1 Bloc +1

I’m using this site

Are there any other good or better sites that I should be looking at?

Should have more results coming soon with lots of polls closing in a minute. :crossed_fingers:

He hangs on but conservatives gain seats is what looks like is going to happen

CBC News projects a Liberal government.

So happy conservatives lost. Trudeau meh.

Ndp +5 would rock.

People’s Party* would have won if their supporters were allowed to vote without wearing masks.

*sic

I live in north Toronto and right by a big voting location that I walked by a few times today. Was pretty quiet but a steady stream of voters all day. Never a lineup tho.

CBC projects Liberal minority government

I think it’s a pretty decent result if Libs maintain their seat count while NDP picks up 4 or 5 seats.

Bernier got smoked in his riding.
