Imagine if cnn or msnbc did this for Joe

Both are far more likely to do it for DeSantis

It’s going to be a full court press for him from all media

You’re not going to believe this

Heck yeah, let’s pass a law that makes it illegal to break laws. I’d like to see Trump’s cronies wriggle their way out of that!

Lol John Roberts.

Chief Justice John Roberts highlighted the hardship that fell on those who hadn’t taken on student debt. Imagine, he said, a high-school graduate who borrowed money to set up a lawn-care business, while a classmate instead went to college on a student loan.

“We know statistically that the person with the college degree is going to do significantly financially better over the course of life than the person without, and then along comes the government and tells that person, you don’t have to pay your loan,” Chief Justice Roberts said. “Nobody is telling the person who is trying to set up the lawn-service business that he does not have to pay his loan,” he said, “even though his tax dollars are” subsidizing his classmate.

That’s Saint John Roberts to you, fella, don’t you read the NYT?

Average cost per year for in state US degree $21,370

Average cost for lawn mowed
$80 per hour.

Lawns mowed 267

Story checks out :+1:

Ten dollars short, assuming all costs were gifted to the mowing person

The guy mowing lawns in Roberts’ fable isn’t trying to put himself through college mowing lawns.

It’s effective messaging for boomers.

IMO the big student loan “victory” will be that they can be discharged in bankruptcy. Always has been. Great job guys.

Biden’s (D-MBNA) is like the single most responsible person for why student loans became non-dischargeable.

Early in his senatorial career, Biden played a role in making it easier for students and parents to take out burdensome loans, spanning across several decades. Later, his landmark bankruptcy reform legislation made it nearly impossible to discharge student loans, birthing a predatory industry and sinking millions into unsustainable levels of debt.

Obviously it would be good if he helped make them dischargeable now, but it would be infuriatingly ironic.

LOL (D-MBNA). Sounds like Joe’s got his family situation under control, what’s the problem?

“Biden, who has said he’s still paying off $298,000 in student debt for his three children, opposes free college and student debt forgiveness, calling it unrealistic.”

Remember he sure did make some student loan promises on the campaign trail:

Keep that shit paused please and thank you.

Worst thing possible would be if this is approved and payments are back on the menu.

Nah SCOTUS will rule immediate balloon payments to cover what was deferred. Late penalty means execution. With a dirty needle since the line is going to be long. Gotta teach these leeches a lesson.

If Andrew Yang is serious about starting a third way party he needs to articulate a compromise position on this issue. Universal forgiveness only you need to get a red tear tattooed on your face for every $5000 canceled imo.
