The infrastructure is such a slam dunk. Most of the stimulus the government does is make money cheap, which makes people borrow money…rich people borrow money. They use that money to drive up the prices of real estate and stocks. The money does nothing but exacerbate problems. Infrastructure spending creates real value and puts a lot of money into middle class hands which gets spent in a greater variety of ways that produce more value.
It’s not like infinite infrastructure spending is great, but it’s well document that there’s a need. Things like fixing roads are +EV just on the wear and tear that bad roads cause to cars.
Counterpoint the very busy road in front of my work has been torn up for over a week with no sign of paving any time soon.

I’m not sure it’s possible to be in a mixed ethnicity club in Rhode Island if you aren’t in Providence. It is a very WASPy, old money state (most of them are actually Catholic, but whatever). You get 2 feet outside the city and it’s just yacht clubs and tennis all the way to the border.
