Ah, the DCCC. My favorite political organization, hands down.

FUCK THE DCCC AND THE LOBBYISTS THEY RODE IN ON. AND THEIR MOTHERS. Yes, it’s personal.

I’m starting to suspect that the plan isn’t just to install the worst Republican nominee so it’s easier for a Democrat to win in the general, but to use that terrible nominee to say, “See? we can win over some Republicans if we move further to the right. So no progressives!”.

It’s really just another war on progressives

The Dem party’s primary function is to make sure progressives can’t ever accomplish anything. That’s what the donor class pays them to do. It would be 100% more surprising to see the Dems spending money or campaigning on behalf of a good candidate for once.

Lets hear some examples of the DemE crew/party machinery supporting progressive candidates or advancing progressive causes through legislation/executive order?

Did you read your own link? It’s full of stuff like this:

" President Biden doubted that his desire to increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour would be included in the final coronavirus relief package.[58][59] Biden predicted that Senate rules for budget reconciliation would prevent the increase from going forward. While recent polling indicates that support for increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour ranges from 53 to 60%,[60] Democratic Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema opposed this provision and threatened to derail the bill over this issue.[59]"

Wichita gets it. Biden knew he’d never have to pass most of the progressive stuff he ran on. But he gets to have iron81 in here defending it, even though iron doesn’t want most of that stuff done either.

Dems typically operate under the belief that elections are decided by appealing to centrist swing voters rather than turning out the base. They believe that progressives don’t appeal to centrists and probably turn them off.

Because Dem leadership is old, they have living memories of the campaigns of McGovern and Mondale, two nominees who are perceived to have been crushed at the polls for being too far left. From their perspective, there are a bunch of young people who do not heed Santayana.

The way to change this is to stop voting for centrist Democrats in general elections.
