Helps that their party apparatus embraces the activist wing of the party instead of knifing it in the back at every opportunity. Perhaps they try to knife them in primaries sometimes, although IMO less often, but they certainly push their activist baseās agenda when they consolidate power.

But yeah the obvious approach here like a year+ ago was for Biden to sit him down and show him the carrot (massive bags for himself and some of his coal buddies) and the stick (investigate his daughter, fuck with coal in every way imaginable, investigate his campaign donors, etc).
