Drive makes me want to stab kittens

No way. We’re looking for CLEAR best songs. Like the best song has to be so much better than the second best that subjectivity can’t close the gap.

This is actually one of the craziest things I’ve read on an internet forum. Don’t think I’ve ever seen or even heard about anyone having a vintage first print record from a mega famous band that is signed with provenance.

These are good except I couldn’t name another Knack song. I probably should have used iconic - that’s the best way to describe what I’m looking for.

Diary of a Madman, applicable both to your post and to it being a superior song. Over the Mountain, Flying High Again, even the done to death Crazy Train. No More Tears, might as well say that duet he did with Lita Ford.

Yeah this is well stated.

Alice Cooper

Don’t even bother debating because things like this are self evident. I just remembered how much I love this song, having a moment.

Kiss

I challenge anybody to make the case for any Phil Collins song other than In the Air Tonight

Detroit Rock City is kinda better? It’s tough, because their songs are uniformly bland.

Take Me Home is pretty amazing

eh, Land of Confusion comes close.

The Sound of Silence Simon & Garfunkel, this thread is easy peasy lemon squeezy

Definitely hard to pick from among one of the worst catalogues in music

To be fair, if we’re allowed to count his Genesis work then Tonight Tonight Tonight and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway are both decent. But yeah, his solo work was mostly poor.

This is quickly getting out of control and needs some kind of Google sheet or something. And probably more objective measures.

C’mon. Mrs. Robinson is easily on par if not better.
