I’m sorry, but Purple Rain is clearly Prince’s best song. That guitar solo rules school.
Cars - Just What I Needed (I couldn’t name 3 other Cars songs but I assume they had other hits)
The insane asylum is down the street
Queen is rocks version of elevator music. Nobody actually likes it more than background music.
Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees although I can see Karma Police so not sure about clear #1.
REM no way - they have so many great songs. If I had to pick a #1 I’d pick The One I love. But far from clear #1.
Arcade Fire I got Wake Up but I know true fans don’t think so.
Pink Floyd also impossible. Dogs, Another Brick in the Wall, Mother, Have a Cigar, half of Dark Side of the Moon, and more I’m forgetting are all up there.
This is a better answer than 1999 at least.
The insane asylum is down the street
Moving in Stereo
Shake it Up
Let’s Go
Good Times Roll
Don’t let Dom see this.
Yeah I’ll agree on the radiohead & REM takes as both have other songs that beat those 2.
But Pink Floyd’s full Album wish you were here is Infact just a masterpiece on its own, the whole album is class + Time and US and Them from Dark side of the moon where also classics.
Arctic Monkeys & Arcade are fine too.
I think Another One Bites the Dust was the best charting song in USA. Not that that matters. Bohemian Rhapsody is often considered to be the best song of all time. It’s just weird because I don’t remember people having such a high opinion of it before Wayne’s World. So there’s a very clear sheep answer of Bohemian but I think there are plenty of good subjective arguments against it.
Random Queen trivia:
-A song called Khashoggi’s Ship on The Miracle is actually about Saudi arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, uncle of murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The actual ship they are referencing has its own Wiki page. (Kingdom 5KR - Wikipedia).

Don’t disagree with this. But Bohemian Rhapsody is legit, hence why it’s an easy pick itt.
REM and Radiohead have at least 20 each that I could make an earnest case for depending on my mood. Currently I’d go Be Mine and Reckoner.
Bon Jovi - Livin’ on a Prayer
Wayne’s World definitely new Bohemian Rhapsody up.
I can see where to the youngs who didn’t live through Queen - it would seem like far and away their biggest song.
Pixies Wave of Mutilation
If anything it’s Where is My Mind.
Nirvana: Smells Like teen Spirit.
No way that’s the hipster fav.
Second best is Hey.
