Let's fight about artists with one clear *best* song

Um, Tarantino did not direct True Romance.

edit: Pulp Fiction good, Jackie Brown better.

It came up in the mega thread, but I’d argue for Requiem for a Dream for Aronofsky. The Wrestler was very good, Black Swan a little less so, PI too early and low budget.

Jackie Brown is QTs best and also the most underappreciated.

And Mr. Walken is the greatest on-screen talent of the last century.

Edit: Winston found and shot my pony. Damnit Duke

“Bang Bang” by Jessie J/Ariana Grande/Nicki Minaj surpasses anything any of the three of them did individually.

what about Noah? lol I dug it. But definitely Requiem.

Finally something we can all agree on!

Is your username due to his movie?

I only saw True Romance from start to finish recently, but I had obviously seen one of the goat scenes ever between Walken and Hopper. What surprised me watching it in full is that Walken has no other scenes in the movie, which is sad.

Yup. My affection for him is borderline unhealthy but don’t care

Too many good ones but I think High Landrons and When the Sun Meets the Sky actually got radio play.

@smrk4 did you know about the tuning Jake uses on this song? Lowest 2 strings are raised a half-step, and highest 4 strings are lowered a half-step from standard tuning

Goat Ozzy tune for thread-related purposes errr

I consider it an accomplishment if I can remember all the notes in standard tuning

edit: great solo

People who think JB is QTs best film don’t actually like QT films.

Crowded House has a clear best in Don’t Dream It’s Over. I have their greatest hits which is like 90% cuts you’ve never heard. Something So Strong can’t carry it alone.

Not sure what Tarantino’s best film is, but Hateful Eight was certainly his worst.

Random Hateful Eight trivia: Kurt Russell mistakenly smashed a real vintage 1870s Martin guitar on loan from a museum that was worth about $40k.

I felt a little bit this way about Django, but Hateful Eight seemed like an elaborate excuse to exceed whatever previous record QT had already owned for a white dude working in the n-word into a movie the most.

Jennifer Jason Leigh’s reaction was genuinely mortified too. You can see her look past the camera as to say wtf is he doing.

Lol. What a complete shitshow that movie was.
