All you people who didn’t have little daughters during the Taylor Swift phenomenon really missed out.
I was a crew dad during the heyday of Ke$ha.
Punk rock sucks. Yeah, I said it.
Yeah, man, that’s what heavy metal is for. With tight riffs and sick guitar solos and drumming and shit. Just because you’re an angry teen doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate the craft that goes into making angsty songs.
I like her as a person but not her music.
PS: the Screaming Females are a great band and you should check them out on general principles, but also the sound engineer on one of their albums is a 22er who I’m told is a legend in the industry. I know nothing about sound design, but the album sounds fucking tight to me.
You should watch her Netflix documentary, she’s pretty much recanted this version of herself.
On my frequent walks, fathers and little daughters out together make me tear up sometimes so I look away. Bastards.

Don’t know her whole ouvre but this seems to be the start of the more humorous and self aware Taylor, though still too labored. This level of self awareness would destroy Kanye.
Taylor sort of already destroyed Kanye merely by existing.
Damn bro, I really wanna cheer you up, but I don’t know how.
This is the only good song that’s been posted itt in weeks, even if Ian MacKaye is kind of a twat sometimes. He briefly collaborated with Al Jourgensen of Ministry once. Al is known for, among many, many things, casually remarking that he and his bandmates were really into heroin for awhile, the same way normal people might say they were into a TV show. I’m sure he and Ian got along splendidly.
Thanks, really. You’re a good guy. I’m glad you’re the one with the kids.
