I worked in a truck with no AC for a couple years. Pretty awful since I was usually working in the hotter parts of LA.

I know you’re all shocked, SHOCKED, that bloomberg isn’t actually going to spend any money for dems on this years presidential race.
He already got what he wanted.
That was my life for a few years. Always changed clothes just before I got where I was going.
Factories can be plenty hot, but at least I wasn’t working outside in the sun. Well… except for that time they sent me to the aptly named Thermal in the Coachela Valley when it was 120. They had a row of punch presses… installed outside. I didn’t do any work on it, but they even had a gravity press out there.
yea I almost fainted a few times no joke today. But I shot an 88 from my previous best round of a 101 on this course so… fuck yea.
It was insanely busy on the course but people played pretty fast, you could just tell everyone was absolutely miserable. They just had a certain look on their face. There was no breeze at all. I felt like my heart was pounding out of my chest most of the day … drank 3 liters of water and a liter of gatorade and still haven’t pissed LOL.
Its great how in America rich people can say “I’ll pay you,” then not pay anyone, and nothing happens, while 18 year olds say “uh, I’ll pay you I guess, I need a college degree to make more than minimum wage,” and it literally follows them around until death if they don’t pay. Awesome. Super fair. Wonderful. USA
Poor people?
Swamp coolers, I imagine. We had one. Though maybe they count, idk.
I have a window AC unit here in SLC which I have turned on for a total of maybe 4 hours this summer, not because it wasn’t that warm (just over 100 F outside, mid 80s inside), but because it just didn’t work that well.

Mike Sexton passed away.
I’ve played with Mike a couple of times, but dealing to him was the best.
Last year when I was dealing the $1500 Stud/8, I got to a table that had Mike Sexton, Cindy Violette, Dan Shak, and a couple other young pros. The entire down was Mike and Cindy telling stories to the young kids about the old days, Stu Ungar, Chip Reese, etc.
After I got pushed out, all I could think was that I would have gladly paid to deal that down because it was the coolest 30 minutes in poker I’d ever spent.
RIP
Taking one of the most boring spectator games possible and turning into a worldwide phenomenon (even if only a short lived one) is a damn impressive accomplishment.
RiP Mike…
Mom needs new machine so I was googling. How could someone pass up this sick sale!
