Other countries watching the drama unfold will proceed with caution when it comes to dealing with the United Kingdom, according to L. Alan Winters of the UK Trade Policy Observatory at the University of Sussex in England.
“It certainly does raise questions about the trustworthiness of this government,” he told CNN Business. “I don’t think it will lead to the complete cessation of negotiations between the UK and other countries, but I think it will make it a little bit more difficult,” he added.
The justice secretary said he would not “speculate” but said there should be a “grown-up conversation” about how to pay for rising social care costs.
The move would break a Tory manifesto commitment at the last election.
“The British public are sensible enough to know that when it comes to the issue of social care we have to find some way in which it will be adequately funded,” Mr Buckland told BBC Breakfast.
This shit really annoys me.
The “grown up” thing is not to make stupid commitments, promise zero tax increases and snear at the Lefts additional social spending plans.
The British public may or not be sensible - I can’t decide - but there’s a good chunk who are selfish and stupid enough to fall for the Tory lies and think of their own pockets when it comes the time to vote.
Awefully quiet in here. Recently I read a lot about some very concerning laws that Johnson wants to get through basically undermining democracy. Didnt realize until now that you dont have a constitution and your rights can be swept away with a single majority. So do we have to be concerned?
