Seems like the smart money is on him being still alive at this point. There would be Mandatory Mourning and all the assorted goings-on if he really was dead i think.
Not until they’ve settled on a successor IMO. This would have been a significantly unexpected event, which means it could legit take a while.
Yeah. The longer he’s away the more likely he’s dead.
Why would he not show himself if he was fine? Of course he is either dead or seriously incapacitated.
If he was alive I suspect he’d have already made an appearance. The speculation about a dictator being dead is not good for his security.
It’s also important to remember that he’s intentionally made the succession hard by killing all the good successors, which to be fair, is a best practice for a new dictator.

German magazine the Spiegel reported that according to intelligence reports several of Kim’s personal boats including his luxury yacht have been moved to the resort he is rumored to be. To me that seems something that is done if he is alive and not in a terrible state.
Speculation is that he is in isolation to be safe from CoViD-19. This also makes sense because he already was in a high -risk group before he even had heart surgery recently.
